It's easy to participate in the "Where in California" photo identification contest.
If photos are present to identify - follow this process:
- Email "Camper Rick" and identify the photos by the deadline stated in the California Campin' enews.
- To win you must identify photos 1 and 2 correctly.
If only clues are presented - follow this process:
- Read the clues and search through out the camping guide to find the photo described.
- Email "Camper Rick" with the answers for each clue by the deadline stated in the California Campin' enews.
- To win you must correctly answer clues 1 and 2 correctly.
General Rules:
- The tie-breaker will be used if there are mulitiple entries with correct answers for 1 and 2.
- If there is more than one entry with all 3 correct answers, then five potential winners are randomly selected from the correct entries.
- These finalists are contacted via email. It is now a race to see who responds with a photo, brief bio and permission to publish their name and photo.
- The first finalist to provide these items is the winner. They then select where they want to go camping from a list of camping locations. A certificate will be mailed to them. Free Camping certificate must be used prior to the expiration date on the certificate (varies, but is generally approximately one year).
