The free application will allow users to instantly find the nearest field office based on the GPS feature, information about the wait time at the field office, take sample written driving tests, access a library of DMV instructional videos and receive important DMV alerts.

Since millions of California residents have an iPhone or an iPod touch, the DMV recognized that it would be beneficial to work with Apple to create an application that would make conducting DMV business much more convenient and readily accessible to customers. Nowadays people are depending more on their hand-held devices to get information. The new application is perfect for that individual who is always on the go. DMV customers can download the application for their iPhone or iPod touch via the online Apple application store.
